an apple [cider donut] a day

Two things:

(1) I can count on one hand the number of donuts I've eaten in the past decade. I mean let's be honest: Who among us allows ourselves the sinful pleasure of donut noshing?

(2) Prior to my current visit to New Hampshire, I'd never tasted an apple cider donut.

Both of these unfortunate realities have been remedied during my current vacay. We visited a local Hampton orchard a couple of days ago. And guess what they had? Hint: I have now thoroughly enjoyed sampling the incredibly tasty apple cider donut.

Are these little guys are getting ready to make their donut debut?Folks ... we have donuts.Aidan and me, with apple cider donut-filled bellies:

It was lovely meeting you, apple cider donuts. We'll talk again.

  1. I've been hearing about them since we moved up here, and they definitely live up to their yummy reputation.

Texas has kolaches. New England has apple cider donuts. ;)

  2. It is a sin, that's for sure, but oh so good! I've been staring at a recipe for donuts with a little ball of turkish delight tucked into the centre before frying. Served with hot chocolate sauce & vanilla bean icecream. It is becoming impossible to resist.

  3. Yum. Those sound delicious. I'm never even heard of a cider donut.

Adorable photo of you and Aidan. I'm glad you had a nice time.

Hey, big win Tuesday night. :) I especially loved the senate win in IL. Burn!

I'm not even sad pathetic Mark Dayton will be our gov. as our MN house & senate went red. He'll have a difficult time getting anything passed!

    Have a great weekend!
